FEAR

Long long time ago, in the village which has been wiped off from the surface of the earth lived a great king. This village existed before my father, my father's father and even my forefathers. It was called Humanimal village. Like the name implied, the animals and human all lived in one accord and even married one another. The king happened to be human and was a very strong, loyal and dedicated man. He was feared, liked and respected by all, both animals and human. However the king was not a happy man though! The reason was his only daughter, Adaeze, begotten to him by his wife, the love of his life who had died at child birth. Adaeze who had blossomed into a very pretty young girl was now over the youthful age of 18 as such was ripe for marriage. A lot of very rich young suitors had come to ask for her hand in marriage but unfortunately they have not been up to the king's standard. They were either too sloppy or too fake or.....they never just struck him as worth marrying his lovely princess.  He wanted a fearless, brave and hardworking man for his Adaeze.
One morning the king woke up happily, this was so because he had come up with a brilliant idea to finally find the man of his dream for his princess.
This was it ANYONE WHO COULD SWIM THROUGH THE RIVER OF AJIYI ...... HE WOULD GIVE HALF THE KINGDOM AS WELL AS HIS BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER. THIS WAS DREADED BY MANY BECAUSE THIS RIVER WAS KNOWN TO BE FILLED WITH OF BLOOD THIRSTY CROCODILES!
On the d-day a lot of people as well as animals all gathered to witness who the brave and lucky one was gonna be....the tortoise who was known for his great craftiness tried but was eaten by the crocodile, as a result of this all the other animals steered clear of the river, because they thought to themselves mournfully if the tortoise with his many brain could not overcome this then none of them could. Suddenly one man started swimming in the river and before they could say Jack Robinson He was on the other side of the river. There was great cheering amongst the crowd, even the king was highly impressed and very happy that at last He had found His Ada a befitting man for her to marry! The man came forward panting breathlessly and said yes, i did it! but i want to know who pushed me into the river. This was how this man, even though he were pushed into the Ajiyi river became a celebrity. A man who was nobody had become somebody because he got that nudge, that push and before we knew it he had become a much celebrated celebrity.
The only thing FEAR does is limit one, leaves one in a shell, a closet and makes one unable to fulfill ones dream, destiny and aspiration. It's a destiny killer. It will only succeed in bringing one down and make one unable to achieve ones desire. Fear will tell you, you can't do it when all you need is just that little nudge.
For one to overcome fear, all one need do is believe in oneself, do not let anyone tell you, you cannot do it or bring you down. Fear is a limiting factor. It's high time we overcome that fear, break new grounds, thread into new waters and with God by your side you'll become a success and you'll love yourself for it. You'll become the world's greatest because that thing you have been afraid to do might be what you were born to do, that has made you unable to fulfill your destiny. Believe in God because one with Him is a majority and you just might be the next world celebrated super star!Drop that FEAR and do it because you just were BORN TO WIN!
let this be your watchword.....Be fearless!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

·        Remember the nursery poem I grew up reciting “who sat
and watched my infant head while sleeping on my cradle bed and tears of sweet
affection shed? my mother. Who taught my infant lips to pray and love God's Holy
book all day and walk in wisdom's pleasant way? my mother.  When pain and sickness made me cry, who gazed upon my heavy eyes and wept for fear that I should die? my mother. I really want us to recite this poem with meaning and we’ll realise if we don’t already that a mother’s love is the greatest of all gifts, which demands or requires nothing in return. Nothing is held back when a mother loves her child, she loves and does so with everything in her. It is indeed very valuable, it can’t be bought or sold. I'm so choked up with emotions already thinking of such great love!
Yoruba’s will sing
o   iya ni wura iyebiye, ti a ko le fi owo ra/2ce

oloyun mi fun osu mesan, o pon mi fun odun meta

iya ni wura iyebiye,ti a ko le fi owo ra..
This is so true because sincerely speaking she carried you
in her womb, went true the whole process of coition, conception, the pre-natal
period, she could have aborted you or flushed you out but she did not, finally
she went through the painful process of labour and brought you into this world.
This reminds me of a friend of mine who said she’ll never forgive her mum for walking out on her family, I made her see reasons why she shouldn’t be mad at her mum, there are two sides
to a story, there must have been a reason her mother walked out on her, her
siblings, and her father, could be there was something her father wasn’t just
saying or.......there just must have been a genuine reason! Iya lo ma n to omo,
the Yoruba’s will say, sincerely speaking...It’s a woman...a mother that truly
knows how to train and nurture her offspring. Nothing can be compared to a
mother’s love! I give it up to my mum and every mother in the world! We love you dads but HAPPY
MOTHER’S DAY!

Mother's love is the greatest!

she carried you with love for nine months!

who sat and watched my infant head?
God bless my mother.

APRIL FOOL'S DAY!

THE HISTORY
April fool's day history is uncertain, but the current thinking is that it first started around 1582 in France with the calendar reform under the reign of of Charles IX. The New Year's Day was shifted from March 25th - April (new year's week) to january 1st simply because the Gregorian calendar was introduced.
Thanks to technology now because in those days communication travelled slowly and some people were only informed of the change several years after! even after this some very rebellious ones still refused to acknowledge the change and went on celeberating on the last day of the former celeberation, April 1st.
These "rebellious" people were labelled "fools" by the general populace. They were sent on "fool errand," sent invitations to nonexistent parties and had other practical joke played upon them. The butts of the pranks became known to everyone as a "poisson d'avril" or "April fish" because a young naive fish is easily caught. Additionally, one common practice was to hook a paper fish on the back of someone as a joke.

As time went on, this harrasement evolved and a custom of prank playing continued every first of april. This tradition eventually spread elsewhere like to Britain and Scotland and was introduced to the American colonies by the English and the French. Because of this spread to other countries, April Fool's Day has taken on an international flavor with each country celebrating the holiday in it's own way.
For example, in Scotland, April Fool's Day is devoted to spoofs which usually involves the buttocks and as such it's called Taily Day. The butts of these jokes are called April 'Gowk' (cuckoo bird).
In England , jokes are played only in the morning. Fools are called 'gobs' or 'gobby' and the victim of the joke is called a 'noodle'. It was considered jinxed to any form of joke after noon.
In Rome, the holiday is known as Festival of Hilaria celebrating the resurrection of the god Attis, is on the 25th of March and is also refered to as "Roman Laughing Day."
In Portugal, April Fool's Day falls on sunday and Monday before lent. In this celebration, many people throw flour on their friends.
The Huli Festival is celebrated on march 31st in India. People smear colours on one another celebrating the spring arrival and play practical jokes on one another.
Here in Nigeria, pracical jokes are made, pranks of all sorts are carried out! I personally experienced a couple. First I heard 'the koko master' had been kidnapped! that was when I knew I had a mad crush on Dbanj because immediately, my countenance changed. Later realised it was a prank and I had been one of April's fool. Heard others like the moving of the elction to december, the death of M.I, the sex tape of D.banj and genevieve, the pictures of GED with mistress. Also heard jokes like "Wife on her way back from the market entered her matrimonial bed and caught her hubby on her house girl,d husband quickly shouted april foooooooool, and the wife smiled and said God safe una.mumu wife."
Decided to play a fast one on a friend too, a day before i had a minor accident that could have been a real big one but thanks God it wasn't a 'biggie'. I was frying fish in the kitchen when suddenly the hot oil popped on my right eye! It was quite painful i must say. Told my friend that night, he condoled with me. The next day being April Fool's Day i called him and said 'the eye' had refused to open! Omo see fear, it was amusing indeed. Later fessed up and said "APRIL FOOL!"
It was really a very memorable one in Naija, went to bed wondering who April's biggest fool really was?

Apriiiiiiiiiil foooooool!

April 1st....happy April fool's day!

GIVING, RECEIVING, HELPING AND SAYING THANK YOU.

Ever heard this “givers never lack”? Well this gave me something to really
think of simply because I asked myself if it meant people who wanna give but
didn’t have to give will lack. Biblically it says that it is more blessed to
give than to receive. This is not talking to people who don’t genuinely have to
give, because believe you me God does understand and just because you don’t
have today doesn’t mean it’s gonna stay that way forever!

Even the bible says that it is more blessed to give than to receive,
additionally I will say that if the lord has blessed you with riches you should
give and what your left hand does, do not let your right hand know. Do not give
and tell the whole world you have given. Sow in the life of people so that God will
look down on you and bless you more. Ever wondered the secret of
philanthropist, the very rich? The secret is simply giving, because the hand
that gives always stays on top!
Even Ruth in the bible sacrificed her time to her mother-in-law, she gave
her loyalty to Naomi (her late husband's mother) & was rewarded with a blissful
marriage to Boaz. Her eternal reward was being in the lineage of Jesus Christ.
Everyone has something to give. No one without exception is without something
to give, because giving is not just about money, it includes; your time, your
space, your physical strength, your prayers, your comfort or counsel, your
smile, your service, the list goes on & on.  “Always" find ways to give something to
others in whatever form you have. The lad who gave Jesus his lunch (5 loaves
& 2 fishes), peter gave Jesus his boat to preach wit, Mother Theresa gave
her time & service, Mandela gave his passion & knowledge, etc...  “It can be affirmatively
said that the greatest form of giving is thanksgiving”

Helping is simply giving a hand
to someone in need. This life is really very funny because people mostly
remember you for the good you did. So whenever you find yourself in a position
to help, do not hesitate to help. Simply because one day you’ll need the help
of someone, it might not be in form of cash but kind. Just imagine you had been
in the position to help that person but you never did, what will become of you?
Sow in the life of people because what you sow, you shall one day reap. You
really might not reap directly, might even be your children’s children! That
unknown person might just be an angel passing by. Now you don’t wanna miss that
blessing do you?
Thank you says you
appreciate what you’re given, so
whenever you receive or get help from someone never hesitate to say
thank you! It goes a long way.
the hand giving is always on top.
giving engenders receiving.
next time i go to the goldsmith,i am gonna have this done to my pendant...lol.

learn to show appreciation , a lil thank you will do

just say thank you!

help when you can!
as much as you can,do help!
show some love...help someone today!
